Forever On The Go!

March - May 2024 2nd quarter update

Hello there from the whole crew!

Over the course of the last 3 months we have settled back into our rental home. We currenlty rent an amazing home from other full time missionaries who live overseas several months of the year. So it'd been fun reacculamating to a familar space. We've said a lot of "see you laters" to our teammates who are now back in their countries of assignment, which I don't suspect will ever get easier. I think that both of these are an occupational hazard, our lifestyle requires us to be flexible and roll with the tides of the seasons of life.

Summer is upon us! The kiddos are wrapping up their first school year at Merritt Island Christian School with only two weeks left. Benjamin got accepted into their Kindergarden program, with a full financial scholarship (Praise the Lord!) we are so grateful! So now all 3 kids are on full scholarships and are receiving an excellent education.

Zambia bound next month!

We are going to Zambia for the month of June. We are waiting to purchase tickets as we are still in need of roughly $7000 to cover the remainder of flight costs. We need to purcahse flights at the beginning of next week, would you consider giving a special gift to our ministry fund? Click the button for the details.

Whats going on at WHQ?

Our amazing in house team is rolling out a new online system for our partners and missionaries. This has been 2 years of building, coding, dreaming, and planning for 2 of our guys who are full time at the office. It's such a testimony that we have folks who have God given talents and ablilities, that have laid down their lives for the mission and purposes for the gospel to move forwrd through the nations, and it may seem small in the grand picture of missions, however this system allows us to keep up with the massive growth we are seeing and preparing for in the next few years. *In this picture Charles and Jesse (who created the system) were about to show us the preview on how it all works, pretty exciting stuff!

AMT

Students will be heading out next week! We had a few of the students come to worship this past Wednesday so we prayed over them and sent them out! Pray that the 33 students attending this May-July AMT class would be touched by the power of the Holy Spirit and say "yes" to The Great Commission:

16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go.17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:16-20 ESV

Plans and Preparations for growth

At our headquaters we have a large unfinshed basement that we are about to put into working order, to be able to host our MPD seminars, worship nights and ministry times for our teams. As we have folks continuously in and out from all over the world. Our global team is over 350 people and growing. This will be a fantastic space for us to utilize as we gather.

Overland Missions Music

OM Music will be releasing 11 new songs this year, heres the latest single. For all our worship leader friends there are free chord charts available for you to lead these songs in your church. I can't wait to share the entire album with you.

Here are all the ways you can listen:

Please do yourself a favor and watch this video, it truly represents the heart of who and what Overland is!

If you're questioning if should you go on a short term expedition, Grant G. and Aly R. are both full time Expedition leaders, so they are speaking from experience.

Missions isn't "waiting for the stars to align" but to simply hear the word of the Lord, from the bible and GO.

TESTIMONY FROM SENEGAL

“We took a boat to an island village in the Oussouye area of Senegal with a couple of local pastors. It was there that we met a beautiful community of people who cooked for us, housed us, and loved on us. When all of the women were gathered after a meal, we shared the Gospel with them and asked if anyone needed healing. One after another, they all came up to be prayed for, and all got healed of pain in their bodies. We then asked who wanted to commit their lives to Jesus, and all of them raised their hands. We have around 15 new sisters in Christ!” -Faith, Expedition Leader

THE JOURNEY THROUGH NAMIBIA

On April 22nd, 6 new trucks arrived in Walvis Bay, Namibia. A group of Overland drivers convoyed them across the African continent to be outfitted at our logistical base at Rapid-14, Zambia. These trucks will take our team further than we ever have before for the sake of the Gospel. Go to our Instagram Page to check out the five days of their mini Vlog.

During a reconnaissance effort Namibia, a woman shares her story of how the Lord healed her and gave her a new identity.
